### Case Study

# The Department of Transport

Mechanical and Public Health Services including BMS

Systems:

- Full Refurbishment of existing Air Handling Units while the building is occupied
- Replacement Ventilation Fans while the building is occupied
- All new on floor VAV systems levels 1 to 5 inclusive.
- New 2-pipe Fan Coil Units lower ground floor
- New chilled water to serve Lower ground floor
- Smoke Ventilation Systems
- New Domestic Hot & Cold Water Services and PH Services
- BMS Controls System for the new VAV systems
- Migration of the existing Siemens BMS system to Trend with a new headend including upgrading the Controls panels.
- Ductwork cleaning of the entire building

 Challenges: Coordination of Services due to building constraints & architectural requirements  
Upgrading of existing systems while the building is occupied without disruption to the users.
